Our Chairman, Blair Thomson, very sadly passed away suddenly on
29 January. The support team are shocked and saddened and our
thoughts are with his family at this very difficult time.
Blair was dedicated and enthusiastic about Cornwall and all
that he did within the county and as an abassador outside
Cornwall. He worked very hard to promote the important role
of the voluntary sector and, in particular the importance of
partnership working across sectors for the benefit of the
community. Everyone he met was touched by his warmth and
passion and he will be missed by a very great number of people.

Voluntary Sector Summit
With the Big Society and the Comprehensive Spending Review
on the agenda, this autumn is a crucial time for Cornwall’s public

on 30th September for senior representatives from
voluntary, community, social enterprise and public sector
organisations to debate the risks and opportunities and develop a
subsequent plan of action. Presentations which were
given at the event are available below.
