Infrastructure Planning
To help achieve the vision for ‘Future Cornwall’ (the
Sustainable Community Strategy) and its associated development
strategy ‘Planning Future Cornwall’ (the Local Plan) it is
necessary to undertake a robust process of infrastructure planning.
Good infrastructure planning considers the infrastructure required
to support development, based on the distribution and types of
development. An infrastructure planning project was initiated in
2010, firmly based on partnership working with the infrastructure
providers active in Cornwall. This work has culminated in an
initial infrastructure baseline report, an infrastructure database,
an infrastructure needs assessment with associated mapping, and an
emerging 5 year delivery and investment plan for Cornwall. You can
find details of this, together with details of progress of the
Community Infrastructure Levy, on the following web pages, as
accessed via the tabs on the left of this page.
